SYNOPSIS:

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Norfolk at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract for the item listed below. The required item is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 13 and FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.

General Product Specifications

Type: Type K Thermocouple (Chromel/Alumel)

AWG: 20 AWG (American Wire Gauge), typically a solid conductor with a diameter of approximately 0.032" (0.8 mm)

Insulation: Ceramic fiber braid on individual conductors and the overall jacket

Temperature Range:

Continuous use up to approximately 2200°F (1205°C)

Intermittent use up to approximately 2600°F (1430°C)

Color Code: Typically all white insulation with the negative wire having a white braid and the positive wire also having a white braid. Note: This differs from standard ANSI color coding for extension grade wire (yellow/red).

Accuracy: Standard Limits of Error (SLE) thermocouple grade wire (e.g., +/- 2.2°C or +/- 0.75%, whichever is greater).

Construction: Two-wire parallel construction.

Applications: Heat treating, furnace temperature surveys, kilns, and other extremely high-temperature environments.

The requirement will be solicited as a total small business set aside. Award will be made based on the technical, “Urgency” Best delivery, lowest price. The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2024-01 and DFARS Change Notice 10/30/2023.

The anticipated delivery date for this acquisition is 30 Days ARO. The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form only. THE SOLICITATION IS NOT YET AVAILABLE.

The solicitation number is SPMYM126Q4002 and it is expected to be available on or about 19 DECEMBER 2025 and posted to SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/ Quotes will be due by 1:00 PM EST on 02 JANUARY 2025. The Government is not responsible for inability of the Offeror's to access solicitation documents posted.
