Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace the existing 40-ton air-cooled chiller at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC), Hall Building (C3).

• Remove and replace the existing 40-ton air-cooled chiller with a new two-circuit, modulating 30-ton chiller.

• Replace the existing 20-ton cooling coil and 20-ton pre-heat coil in the Dedicated Outside Air Unit (DOAS).

• Install a new chiller with an internal recirculation pump and integrated variable frequency drive (VFD).

• Install a chilled water storage tank if the existing water volume is insufficient (less than two to three times the chilled water gallons per minute flow rate).

• Replace all isolation valves for the chiller loop.

• Install a new equipment disconnect at the chiller.

• Install water treatment for the chilled water loop.

• Replace the current chilled water recirculation pump and motor starter with a VFD and appropriately sized pump.

• Install a new electrical circuit if required to support the new chiller.

• Install BACnet communications using Automated Logic-supported equipment.

• Ensure all circuits comply with existing Local and National Electrical Code Standards.

• Coordinate all automation services with Control Services Company.

• Place of Performance: USGS, Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC), 4200 New Haven Road, Columbia, MO 65201.

• Period of Performance: 14 days from Notice-to-Proceed (NTP).

• Warranty: 12-month warranty on all workmanship and materials from the date of Government acceptance.

• Scheduling: Submit a construction schedule within 5 calendar days of NTP. Coordinate work to minimize interference with government activities and facility occupants. • Training: Provide operational and maintenance training to CERC maintenance staff.

• Security: Building access to be coordinated with the Facility Manager or USGS Technical Liaison.
