- Key Requirements:
- Supply a marine chemist for Hot Work and Entry Permits.
- Install protective coverings to shield non-affected vessel components and restore areas to original cleanliness post-work.
- Handle interferences, such as fuel piping and tank access covers, in accordance with SFLC Std Spec 0000, paragraph 3.3.5.
- Remove and dispose of all fuel, residual tank contents, and cleaning fluids in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Document a complete chain of custody for all removed materials and waste, submitting records to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
- Clean tank interior surfaces thoroughly, removing all foreign material (e.g., residual fuel, water, sediment, sludge, rust, biological growth) without damaging the coating system, and continuously remove cleaning media and residues.
- Adhere to cleaning standards such as SSPC-SP WJ-4 / NACE WJ-4 (Light Cleaning) as referenced in SFLC Std Spec 6310.
