Scope of Work

The contractor shall furnish all crane services, rigging equipment, and certified operators to perform the following:

  • Pre-Lift Planning: Develop and submit a detailed Rigging Plan, including crane type, lifting capacities, load charts, and step-by-step procedures for removal and reinstallation. Identify and ensure proper certification of all lifting appliances.
  • Crane Operations: Safely remove the canopy, WERP plates, and exhaust silencers prior to engine extraction. Securely store removed components. Reinstall the exhaust silencers, WERP plates, and canopy immediately following successful engine placement, preventing distortion or damage.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA (29 CFR 1915) and Coast Guard safety requirements. Provide a spotter/signalman for critical lifts and notify the COR/Port Engineer 24 hours in advance of all lift operations.
  • Deliverables: Submit a Rigging Plan, Condition Found Reports (CFRs) for discrepancies, and a Final Report documenting completion.
  • Site Regulations: Contractors must comply with specific base regulations regarding traffic, safety, identification, and access for American citizens/permanent resident aliens only. A consolidated list of personnel with IDs is required.
