Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide comprehensive facility maintenance services for the USCGC MACKINAW vessel and its associated shore facility. This includes:
- Janitorial Services: Daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for common living spaces, sanitary spaces, offices, shops, working spaces, and weather decks onboard the vessel, as well as the shore facility. Specific areas on the vessel include CO's State Room, XO State Room, Senior Officers State Rooms, Surge Berthing, Enlisted Berthing, Officer’s Wardroom and Lounge, CPO State Room and Lounge, 1st Class Lounge, Enlisted Mess, interior passageways, ladders, six common washrooms, and various offices/shops (e.g., Bridge, ECC, Laundry Room, Armory, Exercise Room, Ship Store, Aton Shop, etc.). Weather decks include all deck surfaces exposed to weather up to 12 feet, superstructure sides, and equipment.
- Grounds Maintenance: For 6.5 acres, including lawn maintenance, edging, trimming, tree and shrub care, and leaf and debris removal.
- Snow Removal: Control of snow and ice from all entrances, parking areas, sidewalks, steps, ramps, piers, and other necessary areas.
- Refuse Collection: Collection and disposal of solid waste for the Shore Facility at 626 Coast Guard Drive, Cheboygan, Michigan, including the Millard D. Olds Memorial Mooring, a 27-unit housing complex on Black Thorne Drive, and the housing office/maintenance complex on Loomis Street. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, appliances, transportation, supervision, and materials.
