Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To obtain a qualified technician from Philadelphia Gear to provide expert technical assistance in troubleshooting an overheat condition on the main reduction gear (Model NO: 96DHCMG-CP) of the Coast Guard Cutter CGC MAPLE (WLB-207). The goal is to identify the root cause and provide a parts list for the crew to perform repairs.

• Provide one (1) qualified field service technician with expertise in the specified reduction gear.

• Offer expert technical guidance and assistance to Coast Guard personnel for troubleshooting the reduction gear.

• Conduct inspections both in-port and underway to identify potential causes of overheating.

• Operate equipment at the pier and underway for inspection purposes, as determined by the Engineer Officer and Technician.

• Provide a list of parts required for repair by the ship's crew.

• Submit root cause analysis and findings reports.

• Technician must have expertise in Philadelphia Gear 96DHCMG-CP reduction gear.

• Technician will provide technical assistance, oversight, and quality assurance.

• Reports on root cause analysis and findings are required.

• Place of Performance: Onboard CGC MAPLE (WLB-207), Atlantic Beach, NC 28512.

• Period of Performance: 24-25 June (one day ashore, one day underway).

• Options: Option 1 and Option 2 may be exercised for additional days ashore or underway, if required.

• The contractor technician will provide expert guidance; the Coast Guard will perform labor and provide all necessary materials, parts, seals, and tools.

• The Coast Guard is responsible for providing a safe work environment and final testing of the equipment.
