Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire suppression systems and ventilation systems aboard Coast Guard vessels.

FM-200 Fire Suppression System Maintenance:

• Annual inspection and testing of FM-200 Fixed Fire Suppression Systems in the Engine Room, Generator Room, and Emergency Generator Room.
• Replacement of specific FM-200 system hoses (part numbers and quantities provided).
• Inspection and testing of compressed gas cylinders for compliance with CFR Title 49, Section 173.34.
• Replenishment of FM-200 systems to required cylinder weight.

• Recertification of the fix fire extinguishing system associated with the Gaylord Hood.

• Cleaning of ventilation systems.

• Restoration or repair of any disturbed components.

• Notification to COR 48 hours prior to starting ventilation cleaning.

• Witnessing an initial operational test of the ventilation systems.

• All work must comply with referenced Coast Guard Drawings, Publications, and Standard Specifications (SFLC Std Spec 0000, 6310, 5100).

• Systems must be restored to satisfactory operating condition post-repair.

• Contractor shall submit a Certificate of Fitness (CFR) for all discrepancies and upon completion of work.

• Service to be completed between April 29th and April 30th, 2026.

• Work will be conducted at the vessel's home port: 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, FL 33139.

• Contractor must provide a certified Chemetron Fire Systems Tech Rep.

• Contractor is responsible for furnishing and installing protective coverings.

• Contractor must handle interferences as per SFLC Std Spec 0000.

• Government-furnished property: None.

• Tasks include initial operational testing, photographic documentation of ducting interiors before and after cleaning, cleaning approximately 15 linear feet of ducting per SFLC Std Spec 5100, and recertifying the fire extinguishing system per manufacturer requirements and TP 8057.

• Post-repair operational testing in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.

• Service to be completed between April 8th and 9th, 2026.

• Services will be conducted at the unit's home port: 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, FL 33139.

• Contractor shall provide a certified Tech Rep for the FM-200 system, representing Chemetron Fire Systems.

• Contractor shall furnish and install protective coverings to protect non-affected areas.

• Contractor shall handle interferences as per SFLC Std Spec 0000.

• Coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) is required for testing procedures and notification (48 hours written notice for ventilation cleaning).

• Ensure all disturbed, used, repaired, altered, or installed items are in satisfactory operating condition post-repair.
