Scope of Work
The contractor will provide shipboard technical support to perform a hot oil flush of the Fairbank Morse, Model: 38D8-1/8 Opposed Piston diesel engine. Key tasks include:
- Performing the hot oil flush, including external, internal, and combined sequences.
- Providing all necessary equipment: flushing pump, flow meter, particle counter, filtration system (25-micron polyester, 3-micron cartridge), heating system, and oil spill containment.
- Using commercial grade (non-synthetic) SAE 10 Non-Detergent oil.
- Managing fluid handling, including removal and disposal of used fluids.
- Developing and submitting a detailed work plan.
- Performing pre-flush cleanliness verification and restoring the lube oil system.
