Sources Sought Notice / Request for Information
This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center Norfolk, VA, for market research purposes to identify potential sources capable of providing routine DOCKSIDE Maintenance onboard the CGC SPAR. This is not a solicitation for proposals or quotations. The government is seeking to determine the existence of capable sources, the availability of commercial items, and commercial practices related to the required services.
The contractor will be expected to provide all necessary materials, equipment, and personnel for routine DOCKSIDE Maintenance. Anticipated tasks include, but are not limited to:
Fire Prevention: Preserving 100% of Buoy Cargo Hold Tanks, MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow Tanks, Potable Water Tanks.
Cleaning and Inspection: MP Fuel Service Tanks, Potable Water Tanks, Hydraulically Operated Cargo Hatch, Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Piping, Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, various Vent Ducts (Engine Room, Galley, Laundry, etc.), Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks, Grey Water Holding Tanks, Sewage Holding Tanks.
Inspection and Service: Hull Fittings (Weight Handling Rigging Hardware), Hydraulic Chain Stoppers, Crossdeck Winches, Hydraulic Inhaul Winch, Mechanical Chain Stoppers, Warping Capstan, Hull Fittings (Mooring and Towing), Single Point Davit, Commissary Hoist, Buoy Crane (Appleton EB600-60-40).
Renewals: Deck Covering (Interior, Wet and Dry), Magazine Passageway Entry Flush Hatch, Deck Covering (Electrical Matting), Sewage System Piping.
Replacements: Non-Buoy Weather Deck LED Flood Lights, Main Reduction Gear Filter Assembly.
Other: Commercial Cleaning of various systems, Flushing of Grey Water and Sewage Piping, Installation of Firemain CLA-VAL PRV (TCTO).
