Quick Summary

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support (Richmond) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice for CH47 components, specifically 149 National Item Identification Numbers (NSNs). The purpose is to identify additional companies capable of manufacturing these items, which are currently sole-sourced to Boeing (CAGE 0PXV4). This is not a request for an offer or a solicitation. Responses are due April 8, 2026.

Scope of Work

DLA Weapons Support is seeking to determine if other companies can manufacture or legitimately obtain 149 specific NSNs related to CH47 aircraft. The attached document, "CH47 Tech NIIN Review.pdf," lists these NIINs and their corresponding AMPL Part Numbers, which are crucial for potential bidders to review against their capabilities. NSNs found not to be sole source will not be considered for future procurement under this Sources Sought.

Submission & Source Approval

A SAR package must demonstrate the prospective contractor's ability to competently manufacture the product to an equal or better quality than the currently approved item. DLA Weapons Support can only receive SARs via a DoDSafe link due to security concerns. To request a DoDSafe link, email dlaavnsmallbus@dla.mil with the subject line "Request a SAR Drop Off," including your CAGE code, the NSN, and the email address for the link.
