Scope of Work
The selected contractor will serve as a Music Director, providing comprehensive musical support for chapel services and events. Key responsibilities include:

- Providing choral direction for rehearsals, worship services, and religious events.
- Selecting, teaching, and leading music in both traditional and contemporary styles for Catholic and Protestant communities.
- Coordinating monthly with the Priest/Chaplain for musical support and liturgy planning.
- Submitting notices for choir activities at least 10 days prior to inclusion in bulletins.
- Providing musical accompaniment and direction for special programs such as Christmas and Thanksgiving Day Services, and a children's choir.
- Improving the overall worship music program.
The contractor is expected to perform approximately 20 hours weekly, covering numerous services including 52 Sunday Masses (Catholic), 52 Sunday Services (Protestant), and various seasonal, special, and miscellaneous events.
Performance Requirements & Qualifications
- Proficiency in musical interpretation and sight-reading music.
- Ability to play both piano and organ.
- Familiarity with liturgical or contemporary worship service formats.
- Minimum of two (2) years of military music ministry experience and experience playing in a church congregation.
- Adherence to Marine Corps standards of conduct.
- Base access requires registration in the Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS).
