Scope of Work
The requirement is for a new, USA-produced conveyor belt checkweigher system to verify the weight of ammunition components and complete rounds. Key specifications include:
- Capacity: Weigh articles up to 200 grams with +/- 30mg accuracy at 80 parts per minute (ppm) or greater (max 120 ppm).
- Component Size: Capable of passing individual components from 5.56mm up to .338" diameter, optimized for 1.119" length and 0.3085" diameter.
- Controls: PLC or PC-based with monitoring, alarming, data export to Microsoft Excel, and a color touch screen. Must store at least 200 product weight profiles.
- Design: Failsafe operation with four reject stations (requiring not more than 100 psi for air blast), oxidation protection for susceptible components, shielded drive belts and motors.
- Physical: Footprint not greater than 15 square feet, operates on 110 volts, single phase.
- Ancillary: Includes a set of wear replacement parts, installation, and training for two Government personnel.
- Standards: Compliance with MIL-STD-1472G (Human Factors Engineering) and MIL-STD-129R (Military Marking for Shipment and Storage) is required.

The Government intends to award without discussions, so offerors should submit their best terms initially.
