  • Material Information: Grades, forms, specifications, common uses in aerospace/defense, purity requirements, common impurities, adverse effects of impurities, accepted impurity limits, testing methods, and locations of impurities.
  • Supply Information: Source location of chromium, supply chain details (including non-CONUS instances), annual production/throughput, production lead time for the specified quantity, recycling involvement, pricing methods, and current market price.
  • Delivery Information: Typical order-to-delivery time, typical delivery quantities, subcontractor usage, origin locations, annual delivery capacity, lead time for the specified quantity, potential for increased output, typical lot/batch size, spot delivery capabilities, discounts for volume/long-term orders, preferred delivery and packaging methods, industry standards for packing, and safety concerns.
  • Storage Information: Common storage conditions, typical storage duration, shelf life, environmental impact, regulations, material rotation requirements, and recommendations for long-term storage.
  • Market Information: Frequency of market price changes, impact of time of year on availability/production, anticipated manufacturing process changes, technology development, end-user requirement shifts, potential material substitutions affecting demand, and customer market sectors.
  • General Information: Provisions for long-term agreements, Wide Area Workflow account usage, willingness to provide sales data, agreement to FAR clause 52.216-2 (Economic Price Adjustment), SAM registration, CAGE code, and lessons learned from previous contracts.

Potential delivery locations include Hammond Depot, IN; Hawthorne Depot, NV; Scotia Depot, NY; and Columbus Depot, OH.
