Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all materials, components, labor, fabrication, and installation services for a fully operational scarifier system. This includes:
- Turnkey Solution: Design (if needed), fabrication, installation, and testing.
- Equipment Handling: Agency personnel will deliver the motor grader and scarifier components to the awarded contractor's preferred site within 60 miles of Murphy, NC.
- Contractor-Provided Components: Partial scarifier frame, structural mounting brackets, hydraulic cylinders, hoses, fittings, pump (if required), control lever, operator controls, pins, bushings, pivot assemblies, mounting hardware, hydraulic fluid, system integration components, and protective guards.
- Installation Requirements: Inspect compatibility, fabricate/adapt mounting structures, install/secure scarifier assembly, integrate hydraulic components, ensure proper routing, and perform operational testing to verify smooth, safe, and leak-free operation with full penetration.
- Performance Standards: System must operate via hydraulic controls, provide consistent/adjustable penetration, be structurally secure, meet safety standards, and be free of defects.
- Contractor Qualifications: Experience in heavy equipment fabrication/modification, hydraulic system installation, qualified welders/technicians, and ability to provide warranty.
