Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To solicit a qualified contractor to furnish all materials, components, labor, fabrication, and installation services necessary to supply and install a complete and fully operational scarifier system on an existing motor grader.

• The contractor shall provide a turnkey solution including design (if required), fabrication, installation, and testing of a complete scarifier system.

• The motor grader and scarifier components will be delivered by Agency personnel to the awarded contractor's preferred site location within 60 miles of Murphy, NC.

• Contractor-Provided Components include:

  • Partial scarifier frame assembly compatible with the motor grader
  • All structural mounting brackets and reinforcement members
  • Hydraulic cylinders, hoses, fittings, and pump (if required)
  • Control lever and operator controls
  • Pins, bushings, and pivot assemblies
  • All mounting hardware
  • Hydraulic fluid and system integration components
  • Protective guards and shields

• Inspect the motor grader for compatibility and mounting.

• Fabricate or adapt mounting structures.

• Install and securely mount the scarifier assembly.

• Install and integrate hydraulic components.

• Ensure proper routing and protection of hydraulic lines.

• Perform operational testing to verify smooth operation, full penetration, no leaks, and safe/stable operation.

• Make any necessary adjustments for full operational readiness.

• Operate via hydraulic controls from the operator station.

• Provide consistent and adjustable penetration depth.

• Be structurally secure for standard grading operations.

• Meet applicable safety and mechanical standards.

• Be free of hydraulic leaks and mechanical defects.

• Experience with heavy equipment fabrication or modification.
