Quick Summary

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime is conducting market research (Sources Sought) to identify qualified companies capable of supplying "CHUCK, AIR, INFLATING" and other items for a potential Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). This RFI aims to gather information to develop a future solicitation, which could result in a 1 to 5-year contract. Responses are due by April 11, 2026.

Purpose & Scope

This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes only, not a request for quotes or proposals. DLA Weapons Support is considering an IQC for the items listed in the attached Market Research spreadsheet. The resultant solicitation may be issued under FAR Part 13.5 (Simplified Procedures) or FAR Part 12 (Commercial Products and Services). A key requirement is providing documentation to prove commerciality per FAR 2.101(b), such as commercial invoices, to avoid a FAR Part 15 (non-commercial) procurement which may require certified cost and pricing data.

Requested Information

Interested firms must submit a brief capabilities statement including:

  • Company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax, and email.
  • Company DUNS, CAGE Code, business size, and socio-economic classification.
  • Manufacturer name and part number for the product being supplied.
  • Brochures, descriptive literature, and commercial invoices for proof of commerciality.

Additionally, respondents must complete and return both the Market Survey Questionnaire and the Market Research Spreadsheet. The questionnaire covers company details, interest in an LTC, preferred contract terms, pricing considerations, willingness to provide cost/pricing data, commerciality status, and delivery capabilities. The spreadsheet requires detailed information for specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs), including pricing, estimated delivery, and manufacturer status.

Contract & Timeline

  • Type: Sources Sought / Market Research (for a potential IQC)
  • Potential Contract Duration: 1 to 5 years
  • Set-Aside: None specified (market research stage)
  • Response Due: April 11, 2026, by 3:59 PM ET (within 7 business days of publication)
  • Published: April 3, 2026

Submission & Additional Notes

Responses should be forwarded via email to the Contract Specialist, Edwin Caraballo, at Edwin.caraballo@dla.mil. This RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a binding contract. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. Negative responses (stating why participation is not desired) are also requested to aid in the determination of a Long-Term Contract acquisition.
