• Initial Operational Test: Witness a pre-test of the vent system(s) to document existing operational condition and flow rates (CFM) at intake/exhaust locations.

• Inspections: Visually inspect interior surfaces for cleanliness (boroscope may be used for difficult areas). Inspect internal/external ductwork, coils, piping, and fittings for corrosion, rust, holes, leaks, or defects.

• System Restoration: Ensure the vent system is fully reassembled with all covers and screens, and all tools/materials are removed. Renew access cover gaskets.

• Post-Cleaning Operational Test: Witness a post-cleaning operational test to confirm satisfactory condition. Visually inspect duct joints for air leaks. Measure and compare flow rates (CFM) to pre-cleaning readings.

The SOW details five work items:

• Work Item 1: Cleaning of the Main Diesel Engine (MDE), exhaust piping, and associated stack uptakes.

• Contractor must provide 48-hour notification to the COR before starting ventilation cleaning.

• Additional protective coverings are required for food preparation and serving surfaces in work areas.

• Renew gaskets and fasteners as needed during reassembly.

• Contractor must coordinate inspections and tests with the COR and IPF personnel.
