Cloud Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for RD IT System Portfolio Migration to Government Cloud

Description: Rural Development (RD) is initiating a strategic effort to migrate its IT system portfolio comprising approximately 100 applications hosted on Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris virtual servers—from an on-premises data center to a FedRAMP High-authorized Government Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, IBM, and Oracle). These applications support critical loans, grants, and financial systems. RD requires cloud migration expertise and seeks to contract Cloud Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to lead and support this transformation. This acquisition is to obtrain expert-level cloud engineering and migration support to transition RD’s IT system portfolio to a secure, scalable, and cost-effective government cloud environment. Contractor responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a Cloud Adoption Strategy
  • Designing a Secure, Scalable Government Cloud Architecture
  • Executing a Risk-Aware Migration Plan
  • Ensuring Compliance and Security Posture
  • Enabling Operational Excellence and Cost Optimization
  • Building Internal Cloud Competency
