Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace carpet destroyed from a recent plumbing leak in Chase Hall at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

• Replace all damaged carpet in specific rooms (210, 211, 213, 215, 110, 111, 113) and approximately 1,000+ sq ft on the 2nd floor and 1,000+ sq ft on the 1st floor of Munro Hall.

• Vendor is responsible for verifying square footage and taking measurements.

• Vendor must move and/or remove any furniture required for carpet installation.

• Prepare floor surfaces as needed for even, flat carpet installation.

• Install new carpet. Carpet color, make, and model must be submitted to the USCG for approval. The color must either be an exact match to existing carpet or require additional USCG approval.

• Remove existing old carpet.

• Submittals for all carpet and adhesive products.

• Photo documentation before and after repair.

• Location: Chase Hall, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT 06320.

• Work shall be performed in accordance with the project schedule.

• All work must comply with applicable codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.

• Contractor shall comply with OSHA regulations regarding scaffolding, ladders, respirators, and protective equipment.

• Ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces.

• Maintain a safe and orderly work area.

• All work is subject to inspection and approval by the Owner’s representative. Contractor shall correct any defects at no additional cost.
