Purpose & Scope
In line with the Secretary of War's directive to prioritize commercial products, this Request for Information (RFI) aims to explore commercial generators that could meet military requirements. The government is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals at this time. This is for informational and planning purposes only and does not guarantee a solicitation or contract award.
Requested Information
Respondents should submit a brief capabilities statement (max ten pages) addressing:
- Company Information: Name, address, incorporation date, years in business, employee count, POC details, CAGE Code, Facility Clearance Level.
- Technical Capabilities: Details on 3kW generator sets, fuel type (Diesel/JP-8), voltage (120VAC/240VAC), weight, size, noise level, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), operating temperature range, HEMP survivability, EMI characteristics, environmental limits, extended operational envelope, and fuel consumption rates.
- Test Data: Availability of independent test data.
- Special Requirements: Indication of U.S. manufacturing and domestic origin of specialty metals (anticipating Berry Amendment).
- Commercial Aspects: Unit cost, manufacturing capacity, and lead time.
