Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation to accomplish Commercial Industrial Services (CIS) Safety Nets Fabrication Services Contract for the removal of existing and installation of new safety nets onboard U.S. Navy ships within a 50-mile radius of San Diego, CA. The offeror(s) shall provide labor, services, equipment, and materials for the removal, fabrication, pre-fit, weight test, and installation of trunk, access, barrier, and flight deck safety nets (nylon webbing or High Performance Cordage) to include new safety hooks onboard U.S. Navy ships. The offeror(s) is responsible for the use of the latest revision of all references, specifications, and NAVSEA Standard Items. The successful offeror(s) will be required to provide all labor, services, equipment, and materials in accordance with the specification package. This will be a multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm-fixed price contract for a five (5) year base period. This will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside and the applicable NAICS code is 811420, Reupholstery and Furniture Repair. Award will be based on a best-value procurement utilizing past performance, technical, and price as evaluation factors. FAR 52.216-27 Single or Multiple Awards (OCT 1995) applies.
