Purpose & Scope
This RFI/Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quote (RFQ). The objective is to identify vendors capable of providing a lease of various vehicles and trailers to supplement the 6966th TTT's fleet for U.S. Government transportation needs. The required vehicles include truck tractors (2-Axle and 3-Axle), medium cargo trucks, light cargo vans, light vans/escort vehicles, passenger vans, and various trailers (lowbed, container chassis, curtainsider, rollerized).
Key Requirements
The contractor will be responsible for providing vehicles in new condition, meeting Host Nation technical and legal requirements, including registration, technical manuals, and accessories. Key operational requirements include:
- Vehicle Specifications: Ability to provide specific vehicle types, including specialized "Rollerized Trailers," with ADR certification where applicable.
- Geographic Coverage & Support: Ability to provide vehicles and 24/7 roadside assistance throughout Europe, with a 3-hour response time for roadside assistance and maintenance facilities within 50km of Kaiserslautern.
- Operational Features: Vehicles must allow for disabling digital tachographs and toll units, and offer unlimited kilometer usage at no additional cost.
- Logistics & Training: Provision of operator familiarization training for up to 10 personnel.
- Warranty & Insurance: A 5-year extended warranty is required for all tractors, and the contractor must comply with specified insurance clauses.
Vendor Response Requirements
Vendors are requested to submit responses in PDF format, limited to 15 pages, single-spaced, using Times New Roman 12-point font. Submissions must include:
