Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

NASA seeks to procure a portable, high-speed camera system for capturing high-resolution, high-frame-rate video of failure events during advanced lithium-ion battery testing.

• Camera Requirements:

  • Minimum spatial resolution of 1 megapixel (1024 x 1024 pixels).
  • Record at 2,000 frames per second (fps) at full resolution.
  • Minimum 32 GB of high-speed onboard memory.
  • Support color recording at a minimum sensitivity of ISO 25,000, suitable for low-light environments.
  • Electronic shutter with exposure times from 1 microsecond to 1 millisecond, independent of frame rate.
  • Seamless transition between single-shot and continuous capture modes.
  • Minimum dynamic range of 36-bit color.
  • Support export of recorded data in common formats (JPEG, AVI, TIFF, BMP, RAW, PNG, MOV).
  • Interface via Gigabit Ethernet to a NASA PC.
  • System weight under 5 lbs. and occupy no more than 0.5 cubic feet.
  • Support remote hardware triggering and at least 1 second of pre-trigger data recording.
  • Include manufacturer-supported control software suite with real-time video feed, parameter control, export functionality, and Windows compatibility.
  • Support dual voltage input (110V-240V AC).
