Quick Summary
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, is soliciting quotes for the manufacture and supply of Composite Rubbing Fenders. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside opportunity, issued as a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Request for Quote - RFQ). The primary purpose of these fenders is for use as bumper blocks on lock and dam miter gates. Quotes are due by February 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST.
Scope of Work
This requirement is for the manufacture and supply of two types of Composite Rubbing Fenders:

Fenders must be constructed with a YELLOW Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) facing bonded to a rubber backing. Both materials must meet specific physical characteristics detailed in the specifications, including resistance to aging, water, abrasion, and UV rays for the rubber. Detailed drawings (SN519 for 56' Gate Fender and SN520 for 84' Gate Fender) provide critical dimensions and assembly notes, including a 1/2" bevel on the UHMW and the requirement for gluing components for shipping and assembly.
