Purpose & Scope of Work
This Sources Sought is for market research to identify qualified sources for the repair of deteriorated steam condensate vacuum return lines under parking lot #6 and leading to Building #2. The scope includes comprehensive tasks such as excavation, removal of asphalt and concrete, exposing and assisting in the replacement of piping (welding and hangers to be performed by VA Pipefitter), backfilling, compacting, and repaving/restoring the affected area. Specific tasks involve utility locates, site fencing/signage, mobilization, saw cutting, removal of steam utilidor lids, use of trench boxes, abandonment of existing lines, installation of new 2", 2.5", and 3" condensate vacuum return lines, replacement of broken utilidor lids, backfilling with crushed rock, compaction, asphalt/sidewalk/curbing replacement, parking lot restriping, and site cleanup. All new equipment must be unused, and the requirement is "brand name or equal," with country of origin identified.
