• Pricing: Submit Estimated (EST) or Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for repair, and a separate Beyond Repair (BR)/Beyond Economic Repair (BER) price.
• Refurbishment: Items must be refurbished according to Murdock Drawing 298750, Assembly 298750-100, and Maintenance Standard NO. 7540-081-012 REV F CHG-1, with specific material and testing requirements.
• Material Traceability: Strict traceability is required for all materials, especially for "Parts Requiring Certification," including MIC codes, heat/lot codes, and unique contractor traceability numbers.
• Quality Assurance: Adherence to ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) quality systems, with calibration per ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 (or MIL-STD-45662). Government Quality Assurance at source is required.
• Testing & Certification: Extensive testing (e.g., Hydrostatic, Liquid Penetrant, Intergranular Corrosion) and certifications are mandated for specific parts and materials (e.g., SAE-AMS-QQ-S-763, FF-S-86). Certificates of Compliance are required for all furnished items, weld filler metals, and plated/coated fasteners.
• Welding/Brazing: Procedures and personnel must be qualified, with submission for review and approval. Specific requirements for consumed weld metal C of C and titanium materials.
• Inspections: Receiving inspection, final inspection with 100% inspection for traceability marking and certification legibility, and material sampling per ANSI/ASQ-Z1.4.
• Configuration Control: Contractors must maintain total equipment baseline configuration, and submit waivers/deviations and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for approval.
