Scope of Work
The primary scope involves the fabrication, shipment, field assembly, and testing of a new segmental bulkhead assembly. This includes the construction of an incidental crane pad. The bulkhead assembly will consist of six individual hollow steel tubular segments, each approximately 51 feet long. These segments will be assembled in the reservoir to form a single floating bulkhead designed to block water flow through tainter gate bays during inspection and maintenance. The floating bulkhead will be ballasted with water using mechanical pumps and rotated to a vertical orientation for placement. The design allows for assembly and disassembly in the water, with segments removable for out-of-water storage when not in service.
