Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for constructing a new wall and doorway within Admin Law RM 204A, Building 219, at MCAS Cherry Point.

• Contractor personnel must be familiar with and obey Activity regulations, including safety, fire, traffic, and security.

• Smoking is prohibited within and outside of all buildings on installation, except in designated smoking areas.

• Regular working hours are 8 1/2 hours, normally between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays.

• Work outside regular hours requires Contracting Officer approval, with a minimum of 15 calendar days' notice for utility interruptions.

• Contractor shall be working in an existing, occupied building.

• Existing buildings and their contents must be kept secure at all times.

• Government will remove and relocate other Government property in the areas of the building scheduled to receive work.

• Utility cutovers and interruptions must occur after normal working hours or on Saturdays, Sundays, and Government holidays.

• Contractor must not operate or disturb control devices in station utilities.

• Contract Clause FAR 52.204-2 Security Requirements and Alternate II apply.

• No employee or representative of the contractor will be admitted to the work site without an Identification Badge or specific authorization.

• Documentation for granting access to MCAS Cherry Point is required.

• Criminal activity records may result in automatic denial of access.

• Contractor staging area will be for Construction Manager to coordinate.

• Minimum insurance coverage required by FAR 28.307-2 Liability.

• Project complexity requires one person to fill roles of Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety and Health Officer.

• Submittal register must be delivered to the COR for approval prior to commencement of site work.

• Planned outages and service disruptions require contractor's written request 15 days prior to commencement.

• Contractor is responsible for any required permits.

• Practice efficient waste management and adhere to MCO 5090.5B.

• Recycle non-hazardous construction and demolition/debris materials.

• Recycle fluorescent lamps, HID lamps, mercury-containing items, and PCBs-containing ballasts as directed by the Contracting Officer.

• Contractor shall immediately notify the Contracting Officer of any hazardous conditions encountered.

• Submit two copies of the Spare Parts Data list.

• Develop a warranty management plan relevant to FAR 52.246-21 Warranty of Construction.

• Provide four electronic copies of the Operation and Maintenance Manual files.
