Quick Summary
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole-source contract modification to Ultra Maritime of Braintree, MA, to increase the maximum value of an existing contract (N00024-26-D-6214) for the Acoustic Device Countermeasure (ADC) MK 3/4. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. Interested parties may submit capability statements by June 15, 2026.
Scope of Work
The ADC MK 3/4 is an expendable, mobile acoustic countermeasure designed to enhance submarine survivability against torpedo threats. Ultra Maritime is the original developer of this system, and the Government possesses a complete Technical Data Package (TDP) with build-to-print specifications. The modification is justified under other than full and open competition (10 U.S.C. § 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.103-1) because Ultra is deemed the only available source capable of fulfilling these requirements without causing unacceptable schedule delays.
