Scope of Work
The contractor will provide services for a MSC Certified Service Technician for Control Unit Groom. Key tasks include:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, adjusting, and testing the Red Phone TA-970 UHF Transceiver C-310315 Remote Switching Control and voice-circuit switchboard module.
- Functionally testing the C-310315 with all ancillary devices/circuits in the Radio Communications Center, Bridge, navigation bridge, and helicopter control.
- Performing internal assembly cleaning, checking for obstructions in the switching matrix, and adjusting power supply output to 24 VDC.
- Conducting scheduled maintenance on TA-970/980 as per reference manual section 4, pages 4-1 through 4-9.
- Ensuring TA-970/980 meets functional characteristics outlined in the reference manual.
- Providing a qualified manufacturer's representative.
- Performing structural work, including removal and installation of overheads and cable trunk covers for electrical cable access.
- Executing electrical work, requiring de-energizing and tagging out power sources prior to work and restoring power upon completion.
