- Material Specifications: "Body, Piece 43A of Drawing 7549599" must conform to ASTM-B369, UNS C96400.
- Testing & Certification: Extensive testing is required, including 5x Visual Magnification for weldments, Non-Destructive Tests for weld repair, Weldability Tests for ASTM-B369 material, and Pressure Tests for each assembly. Radiography is mandatory for "Body, piece 43A."
- Quality Assurance: Contractors must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208 as an alternate) and calibration system requirements. Government Quality Assurance at source will be performed.
- Documentation: Provide Certificates of Compliance for SPECIAL EMPHASIS MATERIAL, chemical/mechanical analysis, and adhere to specific marking and traceability requirements for Level I/SUBSAFE systems.
