Scope of Work
The project entails furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision for the design-build services at the 4-story, approximately 169,000 sq-ft facility. Key qualifications for interested contractors include:
- Past Experience: Successfully completed at least three projects installing fire alarm/emergency voice alarm communication systems in occupied buildings of at least 150,000 sq-ft, with a construction value of at least $750,000.
- Key Personnel: Fire Alarm Systems Designer must be NICET Level IV, certified by the equipment manufacturer, and hold a Texas APS license with 5 years of design experience. Fire Alarm Systems Technician must be NICET Level III, certified by the equipment manufacturer, and have 3 years of supervision, installation, adjustment, and testing experience.
- Equipment Qualifications: Equipment must be from a manufacturer that licenses a minimum of three independent Fire Alarm installation contractors as Authorized Distributors within 250 miles of the project site. Known manufacturers meeting this requirement include Siemens Building Technologies, EST, and Notifier.
