Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.

Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, specifically AFLCMC/ESSK, is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors capable of providing Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) capabilities. This RFI focuses on detecting low-flying threats, providing low-cost defeat options, and integrating with the Small Unmanned Aircraft Defense System (SUADS) and Medusa Command-and-Control (C2) using a provided Software Development Kit (SDK). Responses will help identify potential participants for a demonstration in late May 2026. Responses are due April 3, 2026.
Scope of Work
This RFI has three primary components:
- Medusa C2 SDK Feedback: Seeking input on the provided SDK for initial integration into SUADS and Medusa C2, including improvements, issues, and general suggestions.
- Proliferated Low-Altitude Detect (PLAD) Technologies: Requesting information on technologies for detecting low-flying threats.
- Low-Cost Kinetic Defeat (LCKD) Technologies: Requesting information on cost-effective defeat options for sUAS. Vendors are not required to respond to all three parts but must fully complete all requested inputs for the parts they choose to address.

Evaluation
Responses to this RFI will be used for informational and planning purposes only to improve the government's understanding of the market landscape. The Air Force will use the information to identify potential vendors who may be invited to participate in a demonstration of their PLAD, LCKD, and/or SDK integration capabilities. This process will help refine government requirements for future acquisitions. This RFI does not constitute a solicitation, and responses are not offers that can be accepted to form a binding contract.
Additional Notes
Submissions must be organized according to the instructions in the RFI document. All comments, inquiries, and responses should be submitted via electronic mail to Mr. Robert Gill (robert.gill.12@us.af.mil) and Captain Adam Factor (adam.factor.1@us.af.mil). No reimbursement will be provided for responses, and responding does not guarantee future contract opportunities. Supporting documents, including the Medusa SDK User Guide and Release Notes, are available.
