Quick Summary
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is seeking quotations for 25 Counterbalance Valves (CBCALAN/AP) and 25 Valve Bodies (YVY/11) manufactured by SUN HYDRAULICS CORPORATION. These critical components are used in small boat hydraulic door/ramp and RHIB launching systems. The Coast Guard anticipates a non-competitive sole source award to Advanced Fluid Systems, Inc. or its authorized distributors. However, other responsible sources capable of providing these items are invited to submit detailed information demonstrating their expertise and capabilities within two calendar days from the notice's posting date (February 12, 2026). Quotations are due by February 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for two specific items:
- Item 1: 25 units of COUNTERBALANCE, VALVE (NSN 4820 01-687-1295), Part Number CBCALAN/AP, from SUN HYDRAULICS CORPORATION. This valve is part of an obsolete manifold for small boat hydraulic door and ramp systems. The valve must be ordered with the anodized valve body, Part Number YVY/11.
- Item 2: 25 units of VALVE, BODY (NSN 4730 01-687-2581), Part Number YVY, from SUN HYDRAULICS CORPORATION. This valve body is used in the hydraulic system for RHIB launching systems and is part of an obsolete accumulator. The valve body must be anodized, changing the part number to YVY/11. Substitute parts are not acceptable.
Packaging Requirements
All items must be individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E Method 10, cushioned to prevent movement or damage. Each item must then be packed in an appropriately sized ASTM-D5118 double-wall fiberboard box. Marking must comply with MIL-STD-129R, with bar coding per ISO/IEC-16388-2007, Code 39 Symbology. Failure to meet these strict packaging, packing, marking, and bar-coding requirements will result in rejection. Offerors must explicitly state their ability to meet these requirements in their quote.
