This Technical Specification details the requirements for a Continuous Purge Layup System (CPLS) Condenser Manifold. The CPLS system is designed to introduce dried air to major components to prevent corrosion during maintenance periods when components are not in use. The system is intended for use on all CVN class nuclear aircraft carriers and is designed to be portable.

• The manifold must be fully enclosed in a durable carrying case (e.g., Pelican or equivalent) with access windows for gauges.

• Inlet connection: male 3/4" JIC 37 degree flare fitting.

• Outlet connections: fitted with male 3/4" JIC 37 degree flare fittings downstream of double shutoff valves.

• Components must not use materials detrimental to ship systems (e.g., lead, sulfur, cadmium, halogens).

• Teflon products are acceptable, but Teflon tape is not permitted within the fluid boundary.

• Welding is permitted for joining piping/components; brazing and soldering are prohibited.

• Components and piping must be rated for a minimum of 150 psi.

• Specific components required include: isolation valves, regulating valve (Norgren R74G series or equivalent), pressure gauges (Ashcroft 1006 series or equivalent), relief valves (Kunkle Model 1 safety valve or equivalent), and analog flow meters (3/4" NPT RCM Industries 0-200 SCFM or equivalent).

• Manifold must be capable of continuous year-round unmanned operation in ambient conditions.

• All components must meet cleanliness standards outlined in STR-4P37 and STR-4P38.

• A proposal is requested for the construction and purchase of fifteen (15) manifolds.

The announcement is for new items only; refurbished or used items will not be accepted. This solicitation is set-aside for a small business.

• Procurement of CPLS Manifold, 2 Outlet Manifold Box with 200 SCFM Flowmeters - 3/4" Piping. Compressed Air Layup System Manifold - CVN Class; Single Inlet, Dual Outlet w/ Shutoff Valves, 30 PSI.

• Specific requirements include exceptions for relief valves and gauges.
