Purpose & Scope of Work
The USCG requires one iteration of three distinct training courses for its personnel at Base Charleston, to be conducted between July 6 and September 30, 2026. The training will take place at the U.S. Coast Guard Base Charleston, North Charleston, SC 29405.
- Crane Operator Course: A five-day course for up to four students on operating a Grove RT765E-2 crane, covering safety regulations (OSHA 1926.1400, ANSI/ASME B30.5) and practical certification exams.
- Forklift Train-the-Trainer Course: A two-day course for up to four students, focusing on training and evaluating forklift operators, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 and adult learning principles.
- Rigger Course: A two-day course for up to fifteen students, covering safe rigging practices, load calculations, and relevant regulations (ASME B30.9, B30.10, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.184/1910.185).
Contractor responsibilities include providing all personnel, equipment, materials, and instructor PPE, and coordinating base access. The Government will provide facilities, the crane, forklifts, student PPE, and fuel.
