Purpose & Scope
The CJ SME will assist INL's Office of Results and Criminal Deterrence, Technical Advisory Division (RCD/TAD) in implementing, managing, and monitoring projects focused on strengthening law enforcement and criminal justice sectors, countering transnational organized crime, and building effective institutions. Key duties include advising INL leadership, providing analytical services, conducting program assessments, drafting program documents, representing INL in interagency forums, and providing technical advice to program representatives.
Contract Details

- Period of Performance: 12 months from award, with four optional one-year extensions. Maximum 250 workdays annually.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, eligible for a Secret security clearance (Top Secret may be required), and possess demonstrated knowledge of CJ field best practices. Educational requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or social science with 15 years of experience (3 years in international development/foreign assistance); OR
- Graduate degree in criminal justice or social science with 7 years of professional experience; OR
- JD with 7 years of experience; OR
- JD with 3 years in international justice sector development (1 year overseas).
