- Type: Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) under DFARS Subpart 212.70, leading to FAR-based contracts (Part 12 Commercial Item Procedures) or agreements.
- Duration: Continuously open until June 30, 2030. The period of performance for any solution brief or Commercial Solution Proposal (CSP) is generally no greater than 12 months, unless specified otherwise in the Aol.

Submission & Evaluation
The CSO process involves a multi-phased approach:
- Phase 1: Solution Brief: Submission of a written brief (max 5 pages or 15 slides) detailing the technology/service, concept, and rough order of magnitude (ROM) price. Evaluation is based on responsiveness, technical merit, and funding availability.
- Phase 2: Presentation/Pitch (if applicable): Invited companies demonstrate solution viability, including ROM price, schedule, and IP. Evaluation considers relevancy, technical merit, uniqueness, risk, and business viability.
- Phase 3: Commercial Solution Proposal (CSP): Selected companies submit a full proposal (Volume I - Technical, Volume II - Price). Evaluation is based on technical approach merit/risk, performance schedule, and price reasonableness.
Additional Notes
- Interested companies should regularly check SAM.gov for published Areas of Interest (Aols).
- The Government will not pay for costs associated with solution brief or presentation/pitch submissions. Proposal preparation costs are not recoverable.
- Companies must have a Unique Entity ID (UEI) and be registered in SAM.gov and the PIEE system to receive an award.
