  • Breaking all edges to remove sharp corners and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Providing all necessary materials and equipment, and cleaning all machining debris.

The estimated period of performance is from June 22, 2026, to October 22, 2026. Work will be performed at Naval Station Norfolk, VA, or Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, VA.

Special Requirements & Government Responsibilities

Contractors must adhere to Federal and State OSHA requirements, NNSY OSHE Program Manual, and Hazardous Energy Control (HEC) procedures. Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) documentation is required, and contractors must be present for tightness testing. Access to NNSY requires DBIDS cards, completed SECNAV 5512 forms, and proof of U.S. Citizenship for Green NAVSEA access badges. Restrictions apply to Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) in certain areas. The Government will provide support such as marking areas, pier access, crane/rigging, electrical power, non-skid/paint removal/repair, and welding services.
