Quick Summary

The Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC) – Human Resources Directorate (HRD) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for AI Tools and Automations. The goal is to gather information for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses are due April 17, 2026.

Scope of Interest

  • Payroll Operations: Calculations, retroactive processing, W-2, ACA, annual adjustments, and file generation.
  • Code & Infrastructure Analysis: AI-enabled refactoring, mainframe assessment, call-routine mapping, bug identification, historical analysis, and LLM scanning.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Automated generation of system documentation, training materials, and analytical reports.
