The types of work and skill sets for this requirement are as follows:
a) Demolition; debris and rubbish removal (asbestos and metal);
b) Procurement and installation of new metal cable trays in accordance with NEMA VE1, American Welding Society, ASTM International, the National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers and any other relevant standards;
c) Placing existing cables into new metal cable trays;
d) Conduct survey (with licensed surveyor) to establish types of materials and amounts of materials required by the drawings and specifications;
e) Adhere to safety standards when handling hazardous materials and electrical cables;
e) Validate drawings and specifications, including measurements and materials;
f) Communicate with USACE personnel, notify USACE personnel of all revisions made to drawings, and provide final hard-copy drawings and soft-copy drawings (DGN or DWG format extensions) to USACE.
The solicitation and all of its associated documents (plans, specifications, etc.) will be made available on or about Monday, April 22, 2019.
An organized site visit is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time. Please see the solicitation for additional details as to the meeting place location and time for the site visit. Please note that only those persons who have submitted site visit request forms and been approved will be allowed to attend the site visit. Those persons who attend site visit will be responsible for bringing their own personal protection equipment (i.e. hard hats, safety shoes, safety vests, etc.).
