Quick Summary
The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified business sources for a Data Verification and Validation Link Analysis Software Platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI). This market research aims to explore AI solutions for network performance analytics and data validation to support the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN). Responses are due January 30, 2026.
Purpose
This RFI is for planning purposes only, not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ). The FirstNet Authority seeks information from industry on commercially available, FedRAMP Moderate compliant AI solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making. The goal is to acquire a platform providing data analytic automation for network performance analytics, data validation, predictive modeling, and data visualization, ensuring transparent and accountable oversight of the NPSBN.
Scope of Work
The envisioned platform will encompass:
- Data Ingestion, Validation, and Quality Assurance: Processing large volumes of structured/unstructured data from various sources using AI/ML for cleansing, anomaly detection, and quality scoring.
- Data Analytics for NPSBN Network Performance: Delivering real-time and historical analytics on KPIs (throughput, latency, availability, RF coverage) with granular spatial and temporal analysis.
- Predictive Modeling and AI-Driven Insights: Implementing ML models to forecast trends, identify risks, and pinpoint coverage gaps, including Large Language Models (LLMs) for natural language querying and summarization.
- Platform Capabilities and User Experience: Deploying a secure, cloud-native analytics platform with intuitive dashboards, role-based access, customizable reporting, and APIs.
- Data Strategy, Visualization, and Decision Support: Developing data pipelines for ETL, real-time/batch processing, and creating visualization solutions.
- AI/ML Transition: Executing a seamless transition of AI/ML assets, data pipelines, and platforms from the incumbent provider.
Key Requirements & Areas of Interest
FirstNet Authority is interested in technical capabilities, scalability, integration options, pricing, implementation timelines, cost models, data privacy, security, compliance features, industry best practices, and approaches for transitioning from existing operational analytics environments. The solution must support 75 concurrent users with 99.9% uptime and average response time under 2 seconds.
