Purpose & Scope
This notice seeks to gauge industry interest and capability for procuring, installing, and commissioning a new headworks combined rag and grit removal system. The project involves replacing existing "JWC Muffin Monster" rag removal and "Pista-Grit" grit removal systems with a single, integrated unit. The system must be capable of screening to 2mm without blinding and integrate with existing infrastructure. The available installation space is 6'4" W x 23' L.
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Procuring, installing, and commissioning the new integrated unit.
- Providing all necessary valves, piping, and appurtenances.
- Demolishing and disposing of existing systems.
- Coordinating manufacturer's field services for start-up, commissioning, and operator training (minimum 2 days).
- Ensuring the existing JWC Muffin Monster remains operational until final tie-in.
- Preparing and submitting a complete FDEP Permit Revision Application package, including a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer's stamp.
- Adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and industry standards (e.g., UFCs, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, EPA, NEPA, AWWA, FDEP).
