Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To restore the existing concrete foundation and brick barbeque (BBQ) grill behind Building 66 at the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

• Demolition: Dismantle and dispose of the existing brick BBQ grill and concrete foundation. Materials from the existing grill may be reused with approval. The existing concrete slab is approximately 7.5'-0" x 10'-0" x 0'10" thick and is to be sawcut, demolished, and removed, but not to the existing pavilion foundation.

• Site Preparation: Install temporary barriers, clear and level the site, compact native soil, and compact a minimum 6" sub-base of crusher run or dense grade aggregate in 3" lifts, and compact a minimum 6" #57 stone in 3" lifts.

• Foundation Construction: Pour a new 8.5'-0" x 12'-0" x 1'-6" thick concrete slab on grade using 4000 psi concrete and #6 grade 60 steel reinforcing. The finish will be a standard broom finish. An expansion joint will be installed between the new and existing slab.

• BBQ Grill Construction: Construct a new brick BBQ grill in accordance with UFC 3-110-03, ensuring a minimum 1'-0" clear space between the grill and the new concrete slab. Design features such as the firebox, chimney, and grill grates should match the existing grill.

• Completion within 90 days after notice to proceed.

• Adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local safety, environmental, and building codes and standards (e.g., UFC, IBC, NEC, NFPA).

• Quality Control Plan (QCP) submission and adherence.

• Daily reporting of work accomplished, weather, and safety topics.

• Construction schedule submission within two weeks of notice to proceed.

• Period of Performance: No later than 90 days after notice to proceed.
