Scope of Work

The Statement of Work (SOW) details the comprehensive demolition of both buildings:

• Building 5276: Includes the demolition of the building and its foundation, encompassing sidewalks, drives, utilities, select fill, structural concrete, steel reinforcing, wood framing, gypsum board, transite panels, doors, frames, windows, caulking, ceilings, floors, carpet, tile, plumbing, accessories, furniture, insulation, metal framing, conduit, wiring, lighting, roofing, and flashing.
• Building 8129: Requires demolition of the building and its foundations to a depth of three feet below existing grade elevation, including similar components as Building 5276.
• General Requirements: The contractor will be responsible for field verification of existing conditions, providing all necessary demolition resources (layout, survey, plant, labor, supervision, quality control, materials, equipment, tools, fencing), and incidentals.
• Environmental Considerations: All asbestos removal from Building 8129 must comply with local, state, and federal requirements (refer to Attachment "A" - Asbestos Report). Contractors must assume painted surfaces contain lead and provide appropriate worker protection, with all demolished lead items to be recycled.
• Site Restoration: Disturbed areas must be restored by hauling in topsoil and grass seed, ensuring a minimum 4-inch topsoil depth and proper sloping away from former building locations.
• Haul Route: Approved haul routes utilizing the Tye Gate are specified.
