Project Description

The scope involves the design and construction of covered parking solar carports incorporating a photovoltaic system, interior systems improvements for building performance, and the repair/restoration of the historic façade. The façade work includes wood elements, stucco, paint finishes, and decorative sgraffito. Additionally, the main electrical transformer requires replacement and relocation. The work will be performed on an operational Embassy compound located in a UNESCO World Heritage zone and on the Secretary’s List of Culturally Significant Properties. Secret facility and personnel security clearances are required. All work must be phased to minimize operational disruption and adhere to international professional standards. This is a Design-Build contract, where the awarded contractor will develop the final design from provided criteria documents.

Capability Statement Requirements

Interested firms must submit a capability statement, limited to ten (10) 8.5 x 11 inch pages with a minimum 10pt font. Submissions should include:

  • Company name, SAM UEI, address, point of contact, phone, and e-mail.
  • Business size and socioeconomic type for NAICS code 236220.
  • At least three (3) examples of comparable work performed within the past eight (8) years, detailing project description, work performed (self-performance/subcontractor management), customer name, timeliness, dollar value, and any challenges.
  • Bonding capability (in the form of a Surety letter).
