Scope of Work
The contractor will furnish all necessary supplies, equipment, labor, and supervision (except Government-furnished property) to perform:
- Tree Planting: Conifer tree planting of Government-furnished seedlings by hand tool methods on up to 982 acres. This includes 645 base acres and 53 optional acres in Bend-Fort Rock RD, and up to 284 acres in Sisters RD. A specific 42-acre unit (Rosland 14) is designated for assisted migration planting research.
- Tube Installation: Installation of rigid mesh tube protectors for up to 982 acres.
- Grubbing: Removal of live vegetation within an 18-inch radius (36-inch diameter) of planted seedlings on up to 350 acres, and within a 36-inch radius (6-foot diameter) on 16 acres (Rosland 14).
Work will be performed on the Deschutes National Forest, covering Lake and Deschutes Counties, OR.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order (anticipated).
- Set-Aside: Total Small Business Set-Aside (NAICS 115310, $11.5M size standard).
- Period of Performance: Planting from late March 2026 to May 15, 2026. Grubbing from April 15, 2026, to July 1, 2026, with 50% of grubbing completed by June 1, 2026.
- Government-Furnished Property (GFP): Includes seedlings, seedling protectors, wooden stakes, twist ties, inspection sheets, Terra Sorb, and water for Terra Sorb, delivered to the BFR Ranger District Compound or planting site.
