Scope of Work

This requirement is for one year of continuous services. Key requirements include:

• Full-time, on-site, desk-side interpreting, transliterating, and sight translation.
• Interpreters must possess linguistic expertise in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
• Proficiency in various sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign methods (ASL, PSE, MCE, Contact Sign, Tactile Sign, or Oral Transliteration).
• Hold a current, valid interpreter certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in ASL interpretation.
• Ability to convey nuance, tone, inflection, and keep pace with normal conversation.
• Ability to voice interpret when a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person's speech is not easily understood.
• Personnel must have network access for virtual meetings and possess a Tier 3 Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) at the time of quotation, maintaining eligibility throughout the contract.
• Personnel must be U.S. Citizens and authorized access to Carderock Division facilities.
• Contractor shall provide protective equipment when necessary in labs.
• A GFE laptop and CAC card will be issued to contractor personnel.
