Scope of Work
This initiative, funded by recent legislation, aims to reduce the backlog of repairs and enhance healthcare infrastructure. Work will include essential repairs, system replacements, and infrastructure upgrades across various disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and instrumentation. Key MTF sites identified include Naval Medical Centers in Portsmouth, VA, and San Diego, CA; David Grant USAF Medical Center, CA; Womack Army Medical Center, NC; Madigan Army Medical Center, WA; Brooke Army Medical Center, TX; and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, KY. Additional sites are under consideration.
Contractors will be required to minimize interference with daily facility operations, implement infection control processes, and comply with Joint Commission requirements for work in occupied medical facilities. USACE is seeking firms with extensive experience in the functional operation of medical facilities.
