This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside combined synopsis/solicitation. Quotations are due by May 8, 2026, 5:00 PM EST.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for the procurement of one (1) replacement Hatz Diesel Engine, Model 4H50TIC or equivalent, to restore the full operational capability of a CPT used by the 1st Maintenance Squadron (1 MXS). The CPT is critical for servicing F-22 fighter aircraft. This effort is for a "like-for-like" replacement.

Product Specifications

The required engine is a Hatz Diesel Engine, 4H50TIC or equivalent, with 4 cylinders, 102/105 bore/stroke, 3432 displacement, 18:1 compression ratio, 1-3-4-2 ignition order, anticlockwise rotation (flywheel side), and a net weight of 316.336kg. Bidders must use the core engine serial number (13-digits), specifically 0801895003928, for identification. Important: Digital panel components (voltmeter, ammeter, switches, LEDs, etc.) listed in the specifications are to be reused from the existing engine and are not required to be shipped with the replacement engine.

Delivery & Special Requirements

Delivery of the engine is required on or before May 15, 2026. Shipping instructions for the 1st Maintenance Squadron (1 MXS) are provided in the Statement of Requirement. Special requirements include Operational Security (OPSEC) awareness if installation occurs on a Government facility, prompt reporting of mishaps, and contractor personnel requiring installation access passes for DoD installations.
