The selected contractor will provide the services of one (1) Registered Dietitian (RD) to support the FSPC. The RD will offer structured nutritional guidance to recruits to help them overcome physical fitness and body composition challenges, ensuring safe and effective progression toward meeting Coast Guard standards. Key tasks include:
- Conducting consultations and providing expert nutritional advice.
- Utilizing a four-step nutrition care process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation).
- Developing basic nutrition plans and individualized menu plans for classes (up to 30 students over 90 days).
- Providing weight reduction counseling (individual or group) and nutrition education programs.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care.
- Documenting patient records, assessments, and treatments.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Must possess a current, active, unrestricted Dietician license in New Jersey, BLS certification, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program. Two or more years of experience in sports nutrition/weight management is desired.
- Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, 8-hour workday, potentially Monday through Saturday.
- Personnel: The contractor must provide qualified personnel, with a Project Manager designated as Key Personnel.
